VetCorps Crew Leader

Overview:

Position Type: Seasonal, Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: 22.5 hours per week (8:30am – 1:00pm, M-F) in accordance with VetCorps Living Stipend
Wage: weekly living stipend in the amount of $337.50 (before taxes)
Reports to: VetCorps Coordinator & Program Director
Location: Not Forgotten Outreach, Taos, NM

VetCorps offers veterans and their families a paid opportunity to engage in a second mission: feeding local children and the community. VetCorps Crew Supervisors will lead crews in agricultural projects such as hydroponics, traditional row crops, and animal husbandry at Not Forgotten Outreach while also engaging in therapeutic activities to strengthen the ability of veterans to transition successfully into civilian life. VetCorps Crew Supervisors will have a daily role in supervision, program design and implementation, while ensuring deadlines are met. As both a crew member and part of the leadership team, Crew Supervisors will face many unique and sometimes demanding challenges. All VetCorps Crew members will receive both personal and professional development training in topics such as First Aid/CPR, hydroponics, and other agricultural trainings.

NFO VetCorps Crewleader is an AmeriCorps position requiring a minimum of 450 hours of service. Upon completion of service, members receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $1,566.14

VetCorps Crew Member

Overview
Position Type: Seasonal, Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: VetCorps Crew Supervisor
Location: Not Forgotten Outreach, Taos, NM

VetCorps offers veterans and their families a paid opportunity to engage in a second mission: feeding local children and the community. VetCorps Crews will participate in agricultural projects at Not Forgotten Outreach and engage in therapeutic activities to strengthen the ability of veterans to transition successfully into civilian life. This position will be demanding both physically and mentally as you learn and engage in agricultural projects. Agricultural projects will include hydroponics, traditional row crops, and animal husbandry. All VetCorps Crew members will receive both personal and professional development training in topics such as First Aid/CPR, hydroponics, and other agricultural trainings.

Adaptive Ski/Snowboarding Instructors

NFO is looking for skilled volunteers to help out with our adaptive lessons this season and during our Military Appreciation Ski Week

Front Desk Administrator

The front desk administrator is the first face seen by patrons of the Wellness Center. The duties of this position include:

  • greeting people as they walk in
  • checking in clients
  • notifying practitioners of appointment arrivals
  • answering the phone
  • scheduling sessions
  • answering questions about NFO and the Wellness Center

Yoga Instructor

We are looking for instructors to lead any number of yoga sessions for veterans and their families.

Mindfulness Instructor

We are looking for instructors wanting to lead any number of mindfulness sessions for veterans and their families.

Therapist/ Alternative Therapist

We seek practitioners of any type of therapy including:

  • acupuncture
  • aromatherapy
  • chiropractic therapy
  • counseling
  • craniosacral therapy
  • massage
