Volunteers deliver untiring encouragement and friendship

A devoted force of volunteers and specialized ski instructors offer one-on-one instruction, untiring encouragement, and loyal friendship. This bonding and mentorship are critical to the therapeutic value of the event.  Using a volunteer team, Not Forgotten Outreach creates a week of events to connect the children and surviving spouses of the fallen, Active Duty & Veterans with others going through the same experience. The Military Families who attend our annual events walk away knowing they are not alone, and that we honor the sacrifice the Military Members made while serving our country. USA Hockey Grant

USA Hockey Grant

We received the grant from USA Hockey for Five Sleds to get a jump start on our new sled hockey program. We will work on purchasing the sticks and some goalie equipment since they are pretty specialized. However, we will need donations of helmets, elbow pads, and gloves to get the program going. If you can donate any equipment or gifts toward purchasing equipment, that would be greatly appreciated.

Donations for the upcoming clinic and the winter program of
HELMETS, ELBOW PADS, GLOVES, AND OTHER SAFTEY EQUIPMENT
can be made by contacting us at the CONTACT US page or calling Emily at 575-741-1135

Sled Hockey Clinic – Dec. 12th

Sled Hockey Clinic – Dec. 12th

USA Hockey will be in Taos December 20th to hold a sled hockey clinic for us. Anyone who is interested in participating in this program in any aspect is encouraged to attend. We will be looking for players, volunteer coaches and volunteer referees for the upcoming season. The clinic will take place on and off the ice to encompass all areas of the sport.

We should have plenty of sleds for the event so even if you are just a little bit curious, please come on by and check out what all the excitement is about…
